Thank you so much for the update! I love to hear how Case is progressing and changing as he is growing. I wish everyone could give the detail and updates that you provide us with. We so appreciate it!!! Also, wanted to say thank you for your testimonial that you posted to the site. Only wanted to make one clarification though as far as your testimonial goes. You were not a pest at all so please don't think that you were. I understand that it is hard to choose and I didn't mind at all that you changed your mind a few times. I wanted you to be happy and to give you the options that you needed in order to achieve that. In the end, you obviously made the right decision because Case was meant for you!! So glad that you got him and that he has you. Thanks a bunch for the update. Stay in touch!! Kim

09 Mar 2011: Case is now 15 weeks old. He has finally been given all of his boosters and rabies vaccinations and is scheduled for neuter in a couple of days. He lost his first 2 baby teeth earlier this week and the new ones are already coming in behind them. He weighed in at 25 pounds this past weekend, which I'm assuming is light for what he could have been - he recently hit a lull where he was pretty indifferent to food, eating about half as much as normal typically. Due to this, I changed how I give him his food - adding a little water to it and heating it up a little (spoiled little guy). Now he has no trouble devouring his food once again, and seldom leaves his bowl without asking for more.
He seems to have settled on a color pattern after much variation throughout the first couple months of his life. He is a medium gray throughout the upper half of his torso, shifting to a cream color on the back of his neck with a light gray stripe down the middle and his white spot has grown with him, starting at the base of his neck and spreading down to the top of his right shoulder. His head and ears are a nice reddish-brown color with black outline on his ears, a dark gray/black smudge above each eye (like eyebrows) where the color stops and becomes white, and black, half-moon shaped lines between his eyes, outlining the light tan color of his "goggles" covering his eyes. His mask is not symmetrical, but is instead left-side dominant, producing a more defined coloration on the left side of his face, including a light gray bar of color that has formed on his snout, starting as a full bar at the tip of his nose and becoming a left-side only bar about half an inch up his muzzle. He is a gorgeous boy and definitely has the Troika bloodlines showing through in him, just like his sire Denali, with his thick bones and huge paws. I can't wait for him to grow bigger!
He never ceases to prove just how smart he is, learning quickly how to sit, lay down and shake on command. His potty training went quickly, and he now lets me know if he needs to go out by walking to the front door and whining. If it is urgent, he'll even stand on his hind legs and place his paw on the handle and then turn and look at me and give a quiet bark to hurry me along haha.
Every time I take him to the park or the trail to run, he always gets lots of attention from passers by who comment freely on his great looks. He is learning well how to walk on a leash and is working on being able to focus while exercising with me.
To all of this, I give full credit to the wonderful breeding at Alluga's Farm. Case is an excellent representative of the Husky breed!

11 Jan 2010: Case is doing great! He's had his first vet visit and everything looked great. He's already learned how to walk up and down stairs, he's adjusting well to his kennel, he's learned what no means (pretty common word in this exploratory age he's in!) and he even went on his first run with his daddy! He's grown already - I think - and his bark is getting more manly by the day :)
